Additional Chief Secretary Rajiv Kumar Gupta, who has been appointed as the Coronavirus-related Special Duty Officer of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation said, there will be a night curfew in the city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat from Friday to control the rising of Kovid-19 cases. The curfew will be tightened in the city from 9 pm to 6 am from November 20 (Friday) and will remain till further orders by the government, the official said.
Ahmedabad recorded 220 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 46,022. The death toll in the district has risen to 1,949 with five more deaths on Wednesday. After noticing a spike of coronavirus cases in the last few days the government decided to impose a night curfew in Ahmedabad.
