AMARAVATHI: CM YS Jagan reviewed the reforms in corporations and municipalities. He said the revenue of the municipalities should be spent locally and the salaries of the employees should be paid by the entire government. He directed the authorities to prepare SOPs for the integrated development of corporations and municipalities. Municipal Administration Commissioner Vijayakumar, several senior officials of the department were also present.
On the occasion, CM Jagan said “The government pays the salaries of municipal employees as per 010. Municipalities should be self-sufficient. We should take steps in that direction,” and he added the government would not touch the revenue of the municipalities and the money would be spent locally. Officials were directed to spend this amount on various development works and programs.
