Chennai: Cyclone Nivar is the second cyclone in the Bay of Bengal in 2020. The Cyclone had developed into a ‘super cyclonic storm by between the 25th night to 26 Morning 3 AM.
Nivar is now developing into a severe storm in part. It will hit the northern Tamil Nadu coast at midnight today, following the same route as it said directly. As soon as it hits the coast, the winds are likely to increase to 100 km/hr (assuming strong winds). Kadapa, Anantapur and Prakasam districts will register 40 to 60 km/hr (ie strong winds) tomorrow morning.
The rain clouds are part of the storm as convection is high. There is no doubt about it. The rain clouds will continue to touch Chittoor, Nellore, Kadapa and Prakasam districts till dawn tomorrow. The coastal areas of Uttaranchal, Ubayagodavari, Krishna and Guntur districts will receive heavy rains from this evening.
We will see showers in all the coastal districts tomorrow morning. But the important thing is that heavy to very heavy rains will start tomorrow morning in Chittoor, Nellore, Kadapa and Prakasam districts
